Ian Bailey "not the only suspect" in Toscan du Plantier murder investigation

It has emerged that DPP documents name another man who has never been mentioned publicly in the garda investigation into the French woman’s death in Schull, Co Cork.

IAN BAILEY WAS not the only suspect in the Sophie Toscan du Plantier murder case, new documents are reported to show.

In today’s Sunday Business Post, John Burke says that another man was mentioned in an internal review of the case by the former director of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), James Hamilton.

This man has never been mentioned publicly in relation to the garda investigation before.

The news comes weeks after French detectives visited Cork as part of their own investigation into Toscan du Plantier’s brutal death in Schull, Co Cork, 15 years ago.

They were joined by forensic scientists on their visit.

Former journalist Ian Bailey is currently fighting a High Court order for his extradition to France in relation to the case.

It will be the 15th anniversary of Toscan du Plantier’s death on 23 December this year.
