Ibrahim Halawa is going on the Late Late Show on Friday

Halawa says he will be telling ‘his story’ to Ryan Tubridy.

IBRAHIM HALAWA IS to appear on this Friday’s Late Late Show on RTÉ One.

The 21-year-old returned home to Dublin last week after spending four years in jail in Egypt. Halawa was acquitted in September of charges relating his attendance at a protest in Cairo.

Last night Halawa wrote on his Facebook page that he will tell his story to Ryan Tubridy on the show.

“I will be on the Late Late Show on Friday. Stay tuned to listen to my story.
Thank you to everyone who has helped so far!,” Halawa wrote.

An RTÉ spokesperson has confirmed that Halawa will be appearing on the show.

Since his return, Halawa presented his sisters with a special award at the Irish Tatler Women of the Year Awards at the weekend.

Friday’s Late Late Show will also feature Ireland’s UFC fighting star Conor McGregor. McGregor’s pre-recorded interview saw him apologise for his use of a homophobic slur at an event in Poland.
