Frocks? Check. Skinny ties? Check. Amazing moustaches? Check.

THE RED CARPET has been rolled out this evening as stars begin to arrive for tonight’s Irish Film and Television Awards.

The 11th annual IFTA awards are taking place in Dublin with presenters Simon Delaney and Laura Whitmore set to do the honours.

Nominees, stars, and hangers-on have been arriving since just after 6pm today – almost four hours before the ceremony is due to begin! – with glam dresses, skinny ties, and lots and lots of facial hair all well represented on the red caret.

Unsurprisingly, Love/Hate is leading the television pack with eight nominations, closely followed by The Fall with six and Moone Boy with five. Calvary and The Stag lead the film nominations with six nods apiece, followed by Philomena with four.

President Michael D Higgins is set to receive an honourary award for his outstanding contribution to the Irish film and television industry.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on RTE One from 9.45pm tonight.
