In photos, video: Hundreds injured in Tahrir Square clashes

Today marks the second day of violence between protesters and police in Cairo. Three people have died in today’s unrest, according to local doctors.

THREE PEOPLE have been killed in today’s violent clashes between riot police and protesters in Cairo as demonstrations calling for political reforms escalated.

Unrest broke out yesterday when police attempted to prevent the protesters from developing a long-term camp at Tahrir Square and today police fired tear gas and rubber bullets, while protesters set fire to items ranging from street rubbish to motorbikes.

Two people were reported to have died in yesterday’s violence in Cairo. Doctors at a Cairo hospital and a field hospital set up in Tahrir Square said that three men died during today’s protests.
