In pictures: Taoiseach opens this year's Young Scientist Exhibition

Enda Kenny officially declared this year’s Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition open this afternoon – check out these photos of some of the projects on display.

TAOISEACH ENDA KENNY has officially opened the 48th annual BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition in Dublin today.

Hundreds of secondary school students from across the country are displaying 550 science projects in categories including Technology, Physical and Mathematical, and Social and Behavioural Sciences.

The overall winner will be announced on Friday – but before that, take a look at some of the photographs from today:
