AS PART OF today’s presidential inauguration, an inaugural poem was read aloud.

To poem chosen to mark the second term of President Barack Obama was called ‘One Today’ and was written and performed by Richard Blanco.

The choice of poem made its own history, with it being the first time that an inaugural poet was Hispanic.

He was also the first gay inaugural poet and at 44-years-old, the youngest.
