Man dies in accident at concrete plant in Wexford

The man was killed while operating a digger.

A 45-YEAR-OLD MAN died in an industrial accident at a quarry in Co Wexford this afternoon.

The man was killed while operating a digger at Casey Concrete in Gorey shortly after 3pm.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body has been taken to University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem is due to be carried out.

Gardaí confirmed that the Health and Safety Authority has been notified, and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination tomorrow.
