Stunning photographs show Ireland from the air by the people with the best view

The Irish Air Corps’ maritime patrol crews have been taking photographs of how Ireland looks to them – and the results are amazing.

THE IRISH AIR Corps get to see parts of Ireland in a way that most of us never will.

Luckily for us, some of their maritime patrol crews sometimes bring their cameras with them as they fly around Ireland monitoring activity in Irish waters and listening out for mariners in distress.

These pics, taken by Flight Sergeant Willy Barr, Sergeant Paul Maguire and Armn Pat Reilly, are a good reminder of just how stunning Ireland can be.
