This Irishman translating Chinese news is the best thing you'll hear today

“Taaiilllett”.

CCTV News / YouTube

THIS IS A seemingly innocuous news report about Chinese tourists getting up to no good at a temple in Thailand.

But listen closely from 18 seconds in, when the incredibly demonstrative owner of the temple is telling his story.

His CCTV News translator appears to come from our shores and didn’t leave his accent behind, including pronouncing urinal “your-eye-nal”.

Extra points for “durty” and “filty”, but “taaiilllett” will take some beating.
