Irish musician in induced coma following an accident in Portugal

Niall Dennehy is a member of the soul and jazz group Art Crimes.

AN IRISH MUSICIAN has been put into an induced coma following an accident in Portugal.

The Department of Foreign Affairs confirmed they are providing consular assistance to the family of Niall Dennehy, who have travelled to Portugal to be by his side.

Dennehy is a member of the soul and jazz group, Art Crimes.

Cork’s Evening Echo newspaper quotes the father of the Cork musician, Con Dennehy as saying the family is hopeful.

It’s believed Dennehy was injured when he fell into the sea at a marina in Portugal.

Fans and friends have been wishing Dennehy well.

Meanwhile, a close friend said Niall is the heart of the band and is a wonderful genuine, and talented soul.
