Irishman critical after falling from construction site in Australia

The man was resuscitated by colleagues after falling 20 metres onto concrete.

AN IRISHMAN IS in a critical condition after falling several storeys from a construction site in Brisbane, Australia.

It happened just after 7am yesterday morning at Lakefront Crescent at Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast.

The 35-year-old had to be resuscitated by colleagues after falling 20 metres through scaffolding onto concrete, according to Sky News Australia.

A spokesperson for the Department of Foreign Affairs told TheJournal.ie that it is aware of the case and is ready to provide help, but that it hasn’t yet received a request for assistance.
