Is this your dog? Irish Rail appeals to owner of lost dog found on train

Do you know anything about this little fella which the staff at Pearse Station in Dublin have called Checker?

Update: The dog, Patch, has since been reunited with his owner.

IRISH RAIL HAS issued an appeal for anyone who can help reunite this lost dog with its owner.

The dog boarded a train at Kilcock in Co Kildare at 6.49 this morning and is currently being looked after at Pearse Station in Dublin.

A spokesperson for Irish Rail said they were hopeful of reuniting the dog, named ‘Checker’ by the station’s staff, with its owner having done so with a cat before.

“We found a cat owner before, hopefully we can find a dog owner,” he said.

If you have any information about the dog or you are its owner you can contact Irish Rail via Twitter.
