Man attacked with glass bottle inside Jervis Shopping Centre

It is understood the man was chased through the shopping centre by two other males.

A YOUNG MAN was attacked with a broken bottle in the middle of a Dublin shopping centre today.

The daylight assault happened at around 11.10 this morning near the Ticketmaster booth in the Jervis Shopping Centre. It is understood the 18 year old was chased by two other males into the centre.

He was then attacked with a glass bottle, sustaining injuries to his temple and face. One witness described it as a “vicious attack”.

Gardaí confirmed a young man was taken to the Mater Hospital to receive treatment for head injuries after an assault. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Investigations are ongoing and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Store Street garda station.
