THE MAN ACCUSED of the murder of Irish woman Jill Meagher is to face more questioning by police, according to reports from Australia.
The Herald Sun says that Adrian Ernest Bayley appeared in court yesterday for a hearing on a police application. The paper says that the application concerned Bayley being interviewed by detectives about possible criminal charges.
It also concerned examining Bayley for “any possible distinguishing mark” that may be on his body. Police were granted the application at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court.
Bayley’s two-day committal hearing will take place on 12 and 13 March of this year. He is accused of murdering and raping Louth woman Jill Meagher in October last year in Melbourne, and burying her in a shallow grave.
