US Secretary of State John Kerry invents new country: Kryzakhstan

We think he meant Kyrgyzstan. Easy mistake.

JOHN KERRY COULD be forgiven for being a bit nervous and not sure of himself on his first foreign tour as US Secretary of State and so it was that he flubbed his lines during a recent speech.

In what The Telegraph says was an “embarrassing slip of the tongue” the experienced former senator and presidential candidate praised diplomats working to support “democratic institutions” in “Kryzakhstan”.

We think he meant Kyrgyzstan and confused it with Kazakhstan. Sure we’ve all done that, right?
