Man charged with stabbing murder of Meath man in London

A MAN HAS been charged with the murder in London of a Co Meath man.

41-year-old John Martin, originally from Donore, was stabbed to death at his home in Kingsbury, near Wembley Park in north London, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It’s understood that John had only arrived home to his house on Doreen Avenue a matter of minutes following a night out with his partner when the incident occurred.

Darryn Madigan, a 38-year-old living next door to the victim, has now been charged with his murder.

He is due to appear at the Old Bailey later today.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that it is providing consular assistance to the victim’s family.
