THE CORONATION STREET actor Bill Roache has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of rape, it is reported.

The Guardian and Sky News both report that Roache, who plays Corrie stalwart Ken Barlow, was arrested by police in Lancashire this morning on suspicion of sexual offences involving a 15-year-old girl in 1967.

He is currently being interviewed at an undisclosed location after his house in Cheshire was searched by police.
