'I burst into tears': Woman kicks off weekend with Lotto win

Some good news for your Friday evening.

KERRY WOMAN TAKES BIGGER BETTER BITE OUT OF THE BIG APPLE 027 Mary (left) and Jacinta National Lottery National Lottery

KERRY WOMAN JACINTA Hobart is celebrating after winning a National Lottery trip to New York.

Jacinta said she burst into tears when she heard the good news. She plans to bring her sister Mary on the trip.

“I couldn’t believe it when I received a message telling me that I’d won. I rang the National Lottery but was so overwhelmed I hung up as soon as someone answered. When I did eventually speak to someone, I burst into tears all over again.

I work in Debenhams and Mary works as a nurse in the local hospital. We’ve always been incredibly close and even travelled to Australia together when we were younger but, between children and work, life has become very busy in recent years and we haven’t had a holiday in over six years.

“So winning this competition is an absolute dream come true. We can’t wait to hit the shops and enjoy the ultimate girls’ holiday.”

The women will stay at the Waldorf Astoria and get €3,000 spending money.
