Raiders armed with knife and hammer steal cash from Tesco store

The robbery happened last night at about 8.15pm.

GARDAÍ ARE INVESTIGATING after an armed robbery in Kildare last night.

The raiders entered the Tesco Express store at about 8.15pm and demanded money from staff while threatening them with a hammer and a knife.

The two men made off with a small quantity of cash and nobody was injured in the incident.

Gardaí are investigating what happened but as yet there have been no arrests.
