Man dies after car collides with lorry in Kilkenny

The crash happened just after 9pm last night on the N25 at Luffany.

A MAN HAS died after his car collided with a lorry in Kilkenny last night.

The man in his 50s was fatally injured when his car – in which he was the only occupant – collided with a lorry on the N25 at Luffany, Slieverue, Mooncoin in Co Kilkenny at around 9.15pm.

There were no other injuries in the incident.

The man was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

The road has been closed to facilitate a forensic examination by gardaí and witnesses to the incident have been asked to contact Mooncoin Garda station on 051 896 5500, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
