Search for man who fell into River Nore while walking with friends

The 33-year-old entered the water at about 1.30am this morning.

A SEARCH IS resuming for a 33-year-old man who fell into the River Nore in Kilkenny overnight.

The man is understood to have been walking with friends when he entered the water at Canice’s Mill in Thomastown at about 1.30am.

A search was launched involving gardaí, the civil defence and the Waterford-based coastguard helicopter.

The search was called off at 7am but resumed again at 9am.
