Ten people injured in three-car Kilkenny collision

One man was seriously injured.

TEN PEOPLE WERE injured, one seriously, in a crash in Kilkenny last night.

A man in his 50s was taken to St Luke’s Hospital with serious injuries after the car he was driving was struck by another car.

The incident occurred on the Bennettsbridge Road near Danville after 10pm last night.

That car had also hit another car shortly beforehand.

In total, ten people were injured, though none of the others seriously, in the crash.

Three male drivers aged between their 30s and 50s and six male passengers aged between their 20s and 30s were hurt.

One woman in her 20s was also injured.

The road is closed as Garda forensic investigators examine the scene. Diversions are in place.
