This mum's body is inspiring women everywhere (but not why you think)

Take a moment to read her story.

A YOUNG MOTHER of four has been inspiring women around the world with her body – but not in the way you might think.

Kimberly Henderson is a musician from South Carolina who showed off a photo of her stomach after getting tired of compliments on her ‘perfect body’ after four kids.

“I decided to upload this picture and leave my belly unedited and unphotoshopped, because I used to struggle with accepting my body after kids,” she wrote.

“I used to have a six pack before my babies. And now even though I work out I know it’s not going to make my loose skin tight.”

Her story has amassed over 120,000 likes on Facebook, and 11k shares. No doubt that’s due to Henderson’s confidence in herself, and love for her kids:

I’m OK with that because every day I get to wake up to four beautiful smiling faces and I’m reminded that they’re worth these stretch marks.
Just reminding you guys that your body is beautiful, because we are moms, and we are superheroes, and we freaking rock, and in my opinion that’s sexier than any six pack.

Other women have been chiming in with their experiences with their “mommy belly”.

Henderson also pointed out that she’s not trying to criticise mothers who don’t have loose skin, saying:

This post is about embracing your imperfections. Things you can’t change.
