It will be lashing rain in Dublin, Louth and Wicklow tonight

The weather service says that tonight will be cold and blustery with temperatures dipping to zero degrees.

A YELLOW RAINFALL warning is in effect for Dublin, Louth and Wicklow tonight.

Met Éireann forecasts that up to 50mm of rain will fall in those counties before tomorrow at 7am.

The weather service says that tonight will be cold and blustery with temperatures dipping to zero degrees.

Tomorrow will continue largely in the same vein, cold and cloudy in places with showery rain in the east and south. It may brighten up, with temperatures reaching 11 degrees Celsius.

The good news, however, is that the weather is expected to become milder on Friday and through the weekend days. Those nights, however, will be very cold.
