32-year-old Irish woman shot dead in London

A man has been arrested and charged with Leeann Foley’s murder.

A MAN HAS been charged over the murder of Irish woman Leeann Foley, who was shot dead on Saturday in London.

Police attended an address on Loraine Road on Saturday morning, just after 9.30am. They found the 32-year-old woman with serious injuries.

First aid was given to her by officers until the ambulance crew arrived but she was later pronounced dead at the scene.

38-year-old Richard Conroy was arrested at the scene and appeared in court yesterday charged with her murder.

A post-mortem examination found that  the woman’s the cause of death was shotgun wounds.

Police have recovered a firearm which they say is being forensically examined as part of the investigation.
