Four due in court on murder charges over Leicester house fire

Three teenagers and a man in his 20s are among seven charged with the murder of the Shehnila Taufiq and her children.

FOUR MEN ARE due in court again today after being charged at the weekend with the murder of the family of Dublin-based neurosurgeon Muhammad Taufiq al Sattar.

Jackson Powell (19), Nathaniel Mullings (19), Shaun Carter (24) and a 16-year-old– who cannot be named for legal reasons – are due to appear before Leicester Magistrates Court  later today.

The men are among seven in total who have been charged following the house fire that killed the doctor’s wife Shehnila, their 19-year-old daughter Zainab, and teenage sons Jamal (15) and Bilal (17).

Aaron Webb (19)  and Akeem Jeffers (21) were charged in court yesterday with murdering the family, speaking only to confirm their names and that they understood the charges according to local paper the Leicester Mercury.

Another man, 18-year-old Kemo Anthony Porter, has also been charged with murder in connection with the case, and is due to appear in court again on Friday.
