Four people died in a blaze at the family home last September.

EIGHT PEOPLE, INCLUDING a teenager, have been convicted over an arson attack that killed the family of a Dublin-based neurosurgeon.

BBC News reports that seven men and one male teenager were found guilty over the attack – two men of murder and four men and the teen of manslaughter.

They were convicted over a “botched revenge attack” in which Shehnila Taufiq and her children Zainab, Bilal and Jamal died in September 2013.

In an interview after the tragic incident, Dr Abdulsattar said he drew strength from the Quaran. He said that he had people in Dublin and in Leicester supporting him.
