Poll: Should Varadkar have accepted the nurses' challenge?

The Minister for Health turned down an offer to observe a 12-hour shift in an Emergency Department.

MINISTER FOR HEALTH, and qualified doctor, Leo Varadkar has turned down an offer to spend a 12-hour shift in a hospital in Drogheda.

The Minister tweeted last night to note that he has worked three different jobs in Emergency Departments. He has also cited insurance reasons.

However, nurses at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital believe the only way the Minister can understand the current challenges in the system is if he experiences it first hand.

We want to know what you think: Should Leo Varadkar have accepted a challenge from nurses to spend 12 hours in an Emergency Department?
