Three women due in court over €360,000 drug seizure

The women were arrested in Letterkenny on Tuesday after gardaí conducting a search discovered a large quantity of cannabis plants.

THREE WOMAN ARE due to appear at Letterkenny District Court this morning charged in connection with the seizure of cannabis plants in Ballbofey on Tuesday.

The plants, which had an estimated street value of €360,000, were seized during the search of a premises on Navenny Street on Tuesday evening. Other items made and adapted for the growth and cultivation of cannabis were also found.

A male in his 30s was arrested, along with the three women – one in her 20s and two in their 50s.

The man remains in custody at Letterkenny Garda Station where he can be detained for up to seven days.
