Warning of undeclared allergen in Lidl elderflower drink

All batches of the beverage contain sulphite and sulphur dioxide.

THE FOOD SAFETY Authority of Ireland (FSAI) has said all batches of a beverage from supermarket chain Lidl are being recalled due to an undeclared allergen.

Lidl’s Deluxe Elderflower Pressé contains sulphite and sulphur dioxide and this was not declared on the bottle.

The FSAI said this may make it unsafe for consumers who are allergic or intolerant to them. Lidl is now recalling all bottles of the drink.
