Food safety warning: Lidl potato soup may contain ... minestrone

The recall is due to a packaging error.

LIDL IS RECALLING its Italiamo Cream of Potato and Spinach Soup because of a packaging error.

A small number of the soup packs actually contain minestrone soup.

As a result, egg and wheat (gluten) are not mentioned on the packaging.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland says, “This may make the product unsafe for those consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of egg or wheat (gluten)”.

All date codes of the 390 ml packs of the Italiamo Cream of Potato and Spinach Soup are being recalled.
