This Facebook voucher for Lidl is a scam

You won’t get 40% off your shop.

SUPERMARKET GIANT LIDL is warning shoppers that a Facebook voucher which promises 40% off is a scam.

The warning comes a day after competitor Aldi issued the same warning.

The coupon is hosted on a website titled ‘Coupons for Christmas’ and says it entitles the holder to 40% off in Aldi up to 31 December.

The link tells users they can claim the voucher only if the share it on Facebook.

Lidl says in a statement on their Facebook page that anyone who brings the coupon to their store will not be able to redeem it.

We would like to warn our customers that the 40% off voucher circulating online is not issued by Lidl. It is scam and can not be redeemed in our stores. Keep an eye on our page for info on our current offers & voucher updates. Thanks.

The coupon is hosted on a website entitled Coupons for Christmas.
