Two teenage girls arrested in relation to Limerick house fire

The house was extensively damaged in the blaze on Saturday.

TWO GIRLS IN their late teens have been arrested in relation to a house fire in Limerick over the weekend.

Two teenage boys were previously arrested on Saturday in relation to the incident, but were released yesterday without charge.

Emergency services were called to the scene on the South Circular Road in Limerick City at approximately 2am on Saturday morning.

No-one was in the house at the time, which was seriously damaged by the blaze.

The two teenage girls are being detained under the provisions of section 30 Offences Against the State Act 1939.

The Gardaí said that investigations ongoing.
