Man dies after being hit by truck in Limerick city

The 27-year-old was walking along the hard shoulder on Ennis Road.

A 27-YEAR-OLD man has died after he was hit by a truck on the Ennis Road in Limerick city early this morning.

The man was walking along the hard shoulder of the road when the collision happened at around 6.45am.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the road has been closed to facilitate garda investigators.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
