Teenage boy injured in Limerick shooting

The 17-year-old’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

A TEENAGE BOY was injured this morning in a shooting incident in Limerick city.

The 17-year-old was shot on Upper Carey’s Road just before 11am, gardaí said. RTÉ reports he sustained gunshot wounds to his leg.

He was taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment. Gardaí say his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination. No one has been arrested and investigations are ongoing.
