It asks if people have information in relation to the murders of Jolanta and Enrika Lubiene at 9 Langford Downs, Killorglin on Saturday 15 June 2013.

It also asks if the person reading saw any suspicious or unusual activity in Langford Downs, Killorglin that same day, or if they suspect somebody of having committed these murders.

The mother and daughter died after suffering stab wounds in an attack in their home on Saturday afternoon. Gardaí have launched a manhunt and have been scouring the area near the Kerry home to find a weapon or anything that could lead them to the killer.

Yesterday, gardaí in Kerry issued the pair’s last known movements, as the search for the killer went overseas.

The husband and father of the murdered pair, 30-year-old Marius Lubys, returned to Ireland from Sweden following the deaths. It is believed he is trying to raise money to repatriate his wife and daughter’s bodies.

Timeframe

A garda spokesperson said this evening the pair were killed some time between 12pm and 7pm on Saturday.

The last known sighting of Jolanta was at 1.50pm that day. She was on Langford Street, Killorglin, walking towards her home, wearing a dark waist length coat, dark trousers and white shoes. She was carrying two bags of shopping, a pink bag and a white bag.

According to RTÉ, Jolanta’s sister Kristina called to the family home to look after Enrika at 5.30pm on Saturday evening. However, she did not get a reply when she called.

The pair were discovered in their home on Saturday night.

Investigating gardaí are particularly anxious to talk to everyone who was in the Langford Downs housing estate between 12 noon and 7pm on Saturday last. Gardaí in Killarney say: “This is a small housing estate with just over 50 houses and with only one vehicle entrance and exit”.

Anyone with information on the double murder is asked to contact Killarney garda station 064 6671160, the Garda Confidential line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
