Update 12.10pm

THERE WAS ONE winner of last night’s Lotto jackpot with the lucky ticket holder scooping a prize of almost €9.5 million.

The winning ticket was sold yesterday in Spar on Talbot Street in Dublin 1.

The owner of the shop, Ulrike Campbell, said: “We just can’t believe it. This is an absolutely massive win for our customers. It’s an emotional win for me too as the store was opened 30 years ago by my father in law and I had been running it with my husband for 23 years who recently passed away.

All of the staff here are going to enjoy the celebrations today and we send our best wishes to our lucky customer who is €9.4 million richer.

The winning numbers were: 1, 16, 17, 32, 34, 35. The bonus number was 5.

The lucky winner will collect a cheque for €9,485,078.

Another ticket holder from Cork won €219,204 last night after matching five numbers plus the bonus in the main Lotto draw.

They bought their ticket in the Supervalu on New Road in Kinsale.
