THERE ARE TIMES in life that call for celebration. And there are others that call for celebration on national TV.

Last night, a member of a Lotto-winning syndicate had the job of opening the champagne as the RTÉ Six One cameras rolled.

Truly, there only one word that can sum up the result.

Quite. Inexplicably RTÉ did not follow up with the woman’s reaction. Tonight perhaps?
