Someone in Cavan won €4.5 million on Christmas Eve

A decent Christmas present.

THE WINNING TICKET for a €4.5 million Christmas Eve Lotto jackpot was sold in Cavan.

The lucky ticket holder scooped the €4,577,663 Lotto jackpot. The winning ticket, a quick pick selection, was purchased in the SuperValu on Main Street, Bailieborough in County Cavan on the day of the draw.

The winning numbers drawn were 8, 10, 11, 16, 40, 42 and the bonus number was 38.

The National Lottery says it advises all players to check their tickets and that headquarters reopen at 9am on Thursday, when prize winners can collect their winnings.

If you’re the lucky ticket-holder, you are advised to sign the back of the ticket and contact the National Lottery Prize Claims Team on 01 836 4444 as soon as possible.
