Post mortem due on body of man found dead in a lift

The death is not being treated as suspicious.

A POST MORTEM will be carried out on the body of a man found dead in a lift in Drogheda, Co Louth yesterday evening.

The body of the 70-year-old man was found in a lift in office units on Drogheda’s Mayoralty Street at around 6pm yesterday evening.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious but gardaí are investigating all circumstances surrounding the incident.

The body was removed to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda where a post mortem is due to take place today.
