Luas and car involved in collision

Services are facing disruption after the incident on the Luas red line near Smithfield.

A LUAS TRAM  and a car were involved in a minor collision in Dublin this morning.

The crash happened on the Luas red line near Smithfield at approximately 9.50am.

Inbound services are now operating only between Saggart and Smithfield. Outbound services are said to be operating a “limited service” according to a Luas spokesperson.

Gardaí and emergency services are at the scene of the incident but there are so far no reports of any injuries.

Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of this disruption. Luas Green Line operating normally.
