Luas back running with delays following city centre crash

The service was halted for a time due to a crash between a jeep and a motorcycle.

Updated at 5pm

THE LUAS GREEN line service is operating with slight delays, after service was interrupted following a crash this afternoon.

Harcourt Street and Hatch Street were closed for a time as gardaí and emergency services responded to the incident at the junction of the two routes.

A jeep and a motorcycle were involved in the collision, which happened at around 4.15pm.

The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital for treatment to injuries, which are not believed to be serious.

Both streets are now open to traffic once again, and the Luas is back in operation.
