Luas Red Line disruption due Dublin city centre fire

Eight fire brigade units are currently at the scene of a fire on Benburb Street.

SERVICES ON THE Luas Red Line have been disrupted this afternoon due to a fire in the city centre. Only services between Tallaght/Saggart and Blackhorse are currently in operation.

Eight units of the Dublin Fire Service are currently attending the scene of a fire on Benburb Street at what is thought to be a derelict property. Two ambulances are also at the scene, but no injuries have been reported.

The Red Line was due to run services between Tallaght/Saggart and Smithfield between 10.30am and 14.30pm today due to the St Patrick’s Day parade in the city.

The rail company says that all valid Luas tickets will be honoured by Dublin Bus for the duration of the disruption. Meanwhile, the Green Line is operating normal services.
