Man and woman killed in Tipperary crash

It happened at around 7:15am.

A MAN AND a woman have been killed in a road crash in Tipperary.

Both were driving the cars and were pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining serious injuries.

It happened on the main Limerick to Waterford Road, near Limerick Junction at around 7:15 this morning.

Neither car was carrying passengers and nobody else was injured. The bodies of the two individuals involved have been taken to South Tipperary Hospital in Clonmel.

Emergency services are still at the scene and the road is currently closed.

Gardaí are appealing to witnesses who may have been on the road between 6.40am and 7.20am this morning to contact them at the station in Tipperary Town on 06280670 or on the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111.
