Man arrested over Clearwater double murders

Gardaí investigating the murder of cousins Mark Noonan and Glen Murphy have arrested one person in connection with their deaths.

GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING THE MURDER of two men near the Clearwater Shopping Centre in Dublin last November have arrested one person in connection with the killings.

Cousins Glen Murphy, 19, and Mark Noonan, 23, were shot as they walked across the forecourt of a Tesco Extra petrol station on the Finglas Road on 23 November.

The gunmen appeared to have been waiting at the petrol station in a dark BMW 5-series car. A third person is believed to have driven them from the scene in that BMW.

During a search operation this morning in connection with the double murder, gardaí arrested one man in his 30s.

He is being held at Finglas Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
