Man (80s) seriously injured after being hit by car in Ballyfermot last night

The man was struck by a car on Ballyfermot road at 11.30pm last night.

A MAN IN his mid-80s remains in critical condition this morning, after he was struck by a car in west Dublin last night.

The man was hit by the car at around 11.30pm on Ballyfermot road in the Dublin suburb.

He was removed to St James’s Hospital where he remains in a serious condition this morning.

It is understood that gardaí had closed the road off until around 4.30am this morning, and traffic has now resumed on the road.

The incident took place is a residential area facing a number of shops and pubs.
