Man charged in relation to armed robbery of Baldoyle post office

The man is due in court tomorrow morning.

A MAN HAS been charged in connection to a robbery at a post office in Baldoyle on Friday.

Gardaí arrested a 43-year-old man in connection with the armed robbery that occurred shortly before 1pm, when a number of men entered the post office and threatened staff.

It is believed that at least one person was in possession of a firearm.

They left the premises without any money and made their escape in a car that had been waiting on  them.

No one was injured in the incident and no shots were fired.

The man  charged in relation to the incident is due to appear before Dublin District Court, at the Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow morning at 10.30am.
