Man charged over €90,000 meth seizure in Carlow

Gardaí also seized cannabis worth an estimated €20,000 at the house in Carlow. A man is due in court this evening.

A MAN IS due in court this evening after Gardaí found methamphetamine worth an estimated €90,000 at a house in Carlow.

The house at Slate Row in Hackettstown was raided by Gardaí – assisted by the Garda Dog Unit – yesterday as part of an ongoing investigation into drugs in the area.

Gardaí also found cannabis with an estimated street value of €20,000 at the house.

A 37-year-old man was arrested and detained at Carlow Garda Station. He was charged today in connection with the seizure and will appear before a special sitting of Carlow District Court at 7.30pm today.
