Man charged over Shay O'Byrne murder three years ago

The man is due to appear in court later this morning.

A MAN IS due to appear in court later this morning charged in connection with the murder of Shay O’Byrne in Tallaght over three years ago.

A 29-year-old man was charged late last night and is to appear at the Criminal Courts of Justice in Dublin at 10.30am this morning.

Seamus ‘Shay’ O’Byrne was shot dead in Tymon Park North in Tallaght on 13 March 2009 in an incident in which his partner, Sharon Rattigan, was also shot in the leg.

RTÉ reports that the man who was charged last night is from Crumlin and was extradited from the Netherlands.
