Man charged with murder of Daniel Gaynor

One man appears in court this morning over Gaynor’s death in mid-August.

ONE MAN IS DUE TO APPEAR in court today, charged with the murder of Daniel Gaynor in Dublin on 14 August.

Gaynor, 24, was shot a number of times before his partner and two young children as they walked on St Helena’s Road, Finglas.

Gardaí arrested a 22-year-old man shortly after 11.30pm on Sunday night.

RTÉ reports that the man was arrested at Dublin Airport after arriving back in the country from Malaga. It is believed he fled Ireland after Gaynor’s murder.

He has been charged with murder and is due before Blanchardstown District Court today.
